Multimedia Presentations
Rather than lecture our patients and toss around a lot of dental terminology, we use the CAESY patient education system. CAESY is a series of multimedia presentations available for viewing on our computers. These presentations use video and 3D animation to show you all aspects of a specific treatment, from diagnosis to at-home maintenance. We can also provide you with a DVD of the CAESY presentation to take home for further viewing in the comfort of your own home.
Nutritional Counseling
You already know that a proper diet is essential to maintaining your physical well being, but do you know how your diet affects your teeth? We will help you understand how your diet factors in to your oral health.
Smoking Cessation
If you currently smoke or have smoked cigarettes in the past, we want to talk to you about the risks tobacco use poses to your teeth and gums. Aside from stained teeth and bad breath, smoking increases your risk of developing oral cancer. Smoking also hinders healing with dental treatment such as periodontal therapy.
