Whitening
There is no doubt about it, bright, white teeth are the hallmarks of a healthy, attractive smile, and they get noticed by everyone you meet. Thanks to advances in teeth whitening methods, we can help you add sparkle to those pearly-whites.
We make teeth whitening a convenient, comfortable procedure by tailoring a whitening system to meet your needs. There are two options we offer with whitening. The considerations in choosing which procedure best fits you are what results you desire, how fast you want it and the investment you are willing to make both time and financially.
The “glamour white” method better known as power whitening consists of these steps:
- First, we take an impression of your teeth so that custom-molded dental trays can be created.
- During an hour-long office visit, your teeth are isolated and a pre cleaner is placed on your teeth to accelerate the cleansing and whitening process. The gel most commonly is Contrast am whitening gel. We replenish the gel three times during the visit to maximize the results.
- For two weeks after your first whitening treatment, you must use the custom molded trays to continue the whitening process for 30 minutes to one hour daily following the pre cleanser.
- After two weeks, you come in for another hour-long office visit just like your first visit.
During this process you can sit back and relax while enjoying a selection of music or reading your favorite magazine or book.
It is crucial that you keep up with at-home treatments to preserve your freshly whitened smile. Because our teeth continue to age whitening must be maintained by using the custom-molded trays for one day approximately every 4-6 months.
The “natural white” method also known as home whitening consists of:
- We take an impression of your teeth so that custom-molded dental trays can be created.
- We deliver your, pre cleanser and whitening kit one week later.
As with “glamour white” all whitening must be brightened periodically. The maintenance kits of Colgate gel can be purchased at our office.
