Dr. Skyler O’Brien originally hails from a small town in Beaufort County. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from East Carolina University. She continued to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Fayetteville Veterans Affairs Medical Center. While caring for our nation’s veterans, she gained increased experience in CAD/CAM digital dentistry, implantology and prosthodontics. She continues to participate in high quality continuing education through various study clubs, professional association conferences and the renowned Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida. Dr. O’Brien most recently cared for communities in Charleston, South Carolina. She is happy to now provide comprehensive general dentistry services to families of Beaufort and surrounding areas of the crystal coast. Dr. O’Brien strives for her patients to have strong, healthy and beautiful smiles. Her favorite oral hygiene products are the waterpik and coco floss (hint: try the fresh coconut flavor for a tropical twist!). Outside of the office, Dr. O’Brien aims to live an active and healthy lifestyle. She finds joy in daily walks, a game of pickleball and workout classes at Downtown Barre in MHC. When seeking R&R, Dr. O’Brien can often be found with a book in hand. She and her husband, Keenan, also enjoy traveling and have a long list of places they’d love to someday visit.
